It looks like all systems are go for Alex Ovechkin’s return to the Capitals line-up to face the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday afternoon. Ovechkin, who was out of Thursday’s loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs with a bruised heel is looking to help the Caps bust out of a three-game losing streak in which they’ve scored no more than two goals per game. He will also face Sidney Crosby and new best friend Evegeni Malkin.

In their last meeting Ovechkin and Crosby got into it verbally ending with Ovechkin waving to Crosby as he was escorted to the bench. After the Caps 5-2 win Crosby claimed Ovechkin runs people to in hopes of injuring adding more fuel to the fire between these two players and teams. Tomorrow’s game which will not be featured on NBC in place of the Rangers Bruins will be sure to have plenty of firepower as the Penguins are on five game winning streak while trying to beat the Caps for the first time this season, 0-3 thus far.

Tomorrow’s marquee matchup will most likely star the Comrade of the Night as the league-leading goal-scorer Ovechkin takes on league-leading point getter in Malkin. Who will earn COTN honor? Tune in tomorrow.
