Remember when people where saying that Malkin was a ghost earlier in the playoffs? Well apparently Malkin was out to answer his critics in grand fashion in game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. With his parents on hand as usual, Malkin the Falkin (not Geno,I hate when players names get Americanized) earned his first career playoff hat trick and even got scrappy with Chad LaRose.
One of Malkin’s three goals has already been tossed into the rink of best goal of the playoffs for this year as his backhand top shelf goal was quite pretty.
Malkin also assisted on Maxim Talbot’s goal giving him 4 points on the night. He also leapfrogged Sidney Crosby for most points in the playoffs with 25 who oddly enough did not complain about the hats being thrown on the ice. Below are each of his goals with a special look at his backhanded beauty.
